Selecting the appropriate cycle for your garments is also important; refer to the Cycle Guide to choose the correct setting. Overly large or heavy loads should be separated for better tumbling. Check the exhaust vent for obstructions or kinks, and ensure it's the correct length and diameter (4"). Also, make sure the dryer is operating in a room with a temperature above 45ºF (7ºC) and, if in a closet, that there's adequate ventilation. Avoid using too many fabric softener sheets, as they can block the grill.
