Why are the dishes not drying in my Whirlpool W10142781C Dishwasher?
    • J
      Jessica SantosAug 16, 2025
If your Whirlpool Dishwasher isn't drying dishes properly, make sure you are loading the dishwasher as suggested in the directions. Increase the amount of rinse-aid or refill the rinse-aid dispenser. Do not empty your dishwasher immediately after washing. Open the door slightly so that the steam can escape. Begin unloading the dishwasher only once the dishes are barely warm to the touch. Empty the low basket first to prevent water from dropping off dishes in the upper basket. Choose a program with a long washing time, because in short program the washing temperature is lower, which also lowers cleaning performance. Note that water drainage is more difficult with cutlery with a low-quality coating, so cutlery or dishes of this type are not suitable for washing in the dishwasher.

How to troubleshoot a Whirlpool Dishwasher that doesn't start?
    • K
      Kristin GarciaAug 22, 2025
If your Whirlpool Dishwasher isn't starting, several factors could be at play. First, check your home's fuse or circuit breaker and replace the fuse or reset the breaker if needed. Try removing other appliances from the same circuit. Ensure the dishwasher is powered on, the door is securely closed, and the power cord is correctly plugged into the wall socket. Finally, if you see an 'E1' error code, the water pressure might be low, so verify that the water supply is properly connected and turned on. Also, make sure to close the door properly and latch it.

What to do if water is not pumped from Whirlpool W10142781C Dishwasher?
    • R
      Ronald RiveraAug 26, 2025
If your Whirlpool Dishwasher is not pumping water out, start by checking the drain hose for any kinks. Also, inspect the filter for clogs. Lastly, ensure that your kitchen sink is draining correctly, as a clogged sink might be the root cause, potentially requiring a plumber.

Why are there suds in the tube of my Whirlpool W10142781C Dishwasher?
    • A
      April HerreraAug 28, 2025
Suds in your Whirlpool Dishwasher's tube can be caused by improper detergent. To resolve this, only use special dishwasher detergent to avoid suds. If suds occur, open the dishwasher and let them evaporate. Add 1 gallon of cold water to the tub. Close and latch the dishwasher, then start the "soak" wash cycle to drain out the water. Repeat if necessary. Another cause can be spilled rinse-aid, so always wipe up rinse-aid spills immediately.

Why is there cloudiness on glassware after washing in my Whirlpool W10142781C Dishwasher?
    • L
      Lucas JimenezAug 31, 2025
Cloudiness on glassware in your Whirlpool Dishwasher is often due to a combination of soft water and too much detergent. Use less detergent if you have soft water and select the shortest cycle to wash the glassware to get them clean.

Why are the dishes not clean after using my Whirlpool Dishwasher?
    • P
      peckjodySep 12, 2025
If your Whirlpool Dishwasher isn't cleaning dishes effectively, it might be due to a few reasons. Check if the dishes were loaded correctly. Select a more intensive program. Use more detergent, or consider changing your detergent. Make sure items aren't blocking the spray arms. Clean and correctly fit the filter combination in the base of the wash cabinet and clean the spray arm jets.

What causes white film on inside of Whirlpool W10142781C Dishwasher?
    • R
      Richard MeyerSep 12, 2025
A white film on the inside surface of your Whirlpool Dishwasher is usually caused by hard water minerals. To clean the interior, use a damp sponge with dishwasher detergent and wear rubber gloves. Never use any other cleaner than dishwasher detergent for the risk of foaming or suds. It can also happen if a programme was not run after dishwasher salt was added and traces of salt have gotten into the wash cycle. Always run the quick wash programme without any crockery in the dishwasher and without selecting the Turbo function (if present), after adding dishwasher salt.
