  If your Whirlpool Dishwasher won’t start or respond, first, ensure it’s properly plugged into the socket. If there was a power outage, open the dishwasher door, press the START/Pause button, and close the door within 4 seconds to restart it. Also, make sure the dishwasher door is fully closed until you hear a click. If the cycle was interrupted by opening the door for more than 4 seconds, press START/Pause and close the door within 4 seconds. If the display shows 9 or 12 and the On/Off LED is blinking rapidly, switch the appliance off and on again after a minute. If the problem continues, unplug it for 1 minute, then plug it back in.

Make sure the cap on the rinse aid compartment is closed correctly. Clean the filter assembly if it's soiled or clogged. Finally, fill the salt reservoir if it's empty.

  If your Whirlpool Dishwasher does not fill with water and the display shows H, 6, and the On/Off LED is blinking rapidly, ensure there is water in the water supply and that the tap is running. Also, check that the inlet hose is not bent. If the sieve in the water inlet hose is clogged, clean it. After these checks, turn the dishwasher off and on, then restart a new program.

  If your Whirlpool Dishwasher is making excessive noise, make sure the dishes are not rattling against each other by positioning the crockery correctly. If there's an excessive amount of foam, it means that the detergent has not been measured out correctly or it is not suitable for use in dishwashers. Restart the current cycle by switching the dishwasher off, then on again, select a new program, press START/Pause and close the door within 4 seconds. Do not add any detergent.

  If your Whirlpool Dishwasher finishes the cycle prematurely and the display shows 15 with the On/Off LED blinking rapidly, check if the end of the drain hose is placed at the correct height. Also, check for siphoning into the home sewage system and install an air admittance valve if necessary. Finally, check the water supply for leaks or other issues letting air inside.
