      Amy LyonsAug 23, 2025
If your Whirlpool Washer isn’t running or filling, or stops working, check the following: Ensure both hoses are attached and have water flowing to the inlet valve, and that both hot and cold water faucets are turned on. Also, verify that the inlet valve screens are not clogged and that there are no kinks in the inlet hoses. Confirm the power cord is plugged into a grounded 3-prong outlet and that there is power to the outlet, avoiding extension cords or GFI outlets. Reset any tripped circuit breakers or replace blown fuses.

What to do if water or suds are leaking from the door or rear of my Whirlpool WFW85HEFW1?
    • A
      Austin JohnsonAug 25, 2025
If you see water or suds leaking from the door or rear of your Whirlpool Washer, make sure you are using HE detergent and not using too much of it. Suds from regular detergents can cause leaking. Always measure detergent and follow the manufacturer’s directions based on your load requirements. Also, periodically clean the underside of the door glass to avoid potential leaks. Water can also drip off the inside of the door if opened during the “Add Garment” phase.

    • O
      omartinAug 27, 2025
The Clean Washer LED flashes on your Whirlpool Washer to remind you to run the Clean Washer with affresh® cycle after 30 wash cycles. Run the Clean Washer with affresh® cycle. If you don't turn on the Clean Washer cycle, the LED will stop flashing after 3 more regular wash cycles, but will reappear after another 30 cycles.

Why is the water level not visible on the door or not covering clothes in my Whirlpool Washer?
    • W
      whitney19Aug 28, 2025
It is normal for an HE front load Whirlpool Washer to have the water level not visible on the door or not fully covering the clothes. The washer senses the load size and adds the correct amount of water for optimal cleaning.

What does F# E# or F## E## code mean on my Whirlpool Washer?
    • B
      Brittney NelsonAug 29, 2025
If an F# E# or F## E## code (other than described) appears on your Whirlpool Washer display, it indicates a system error. Try touching the Power button once to clear the code, then again to restart the washer. If the code reappears, unplug the washer for 30 seconds and plug it back in.

What to do if the drain hose fits too tightly in the standpipe, or is it taped to the standpipe on my Whirlpool WFW85HEFW1?
    • C
      Christine RobinsonSep 18, 2025
The drain hose should fit loosely yet securely in the standpipe. Do not seal the drain hose with tape; the hose needs an air gap.

    • S

What does it mean if my Whirlpool WFW85HEFW1 Washer is rolling or sloshing and occasionally clicking on slow-speed spin?
    • L
      Lisa WardSep 9, 2025

Why is my Whirlpool Washer making gurgling or humming noises?
    • W
      wayne50Sep 5, 2025
