The power cord should be plugged into a grounded 3-prong outlet, without using an extension cord, and the outlet must have power. Check the electrical source, and if the voltage is low, contact an electrician. Reset any tripped circuit breakers or replace blown fuses. If problems persist, it's best to consult an electrician.
