marking
line

point

wide
end

dart.
Trim
both
raw
edges
close
to
stitching.
Most
fabrics
need
to
be
guided
only
in
front
of
the
presser
foot
as
shown
at
left.
Many
flimsy
sheers,
crepes,
knits,
tricots,
etc.,
require
support
while
being
stitched.
For
such
fabric
use
the
straight
stitch
throat
plate
and
presser
foot
and
apply
gentle
tension
by
holding
seam
in
front
and
back
of
the
presser
foot
as
shown
at
right.
