LOWER TENSON
ADJUSTMENT
If
the machine
skips stitches
or
loops
stitches,
it
may
require a
tension
adjustment.
To check
the bobbin
tension,
follow
these steps:

Push latches
of
the
shuttle
race
cover outward,
as
shown
in figure W.

Remove
shuttle
cover
as
shown in figure
Z.
Remove shuttle
as
shown
in
figure .

Suspend
bobbin,
bobbin
case,
and shuttle
all together.
When
pulling the
thread
slightly,
all of them
should
slide
down with
light
resistance

If they
do
not slide
down
with
a
slight pull
of the
thread, the
bobbin case
tension
is too
tight. If they
slide down too
easily,
the
bobbin
case
tension
is too
loose.

Once
the bobbin
case is
correctly
adjusted,
use the
upper
tension to
balance
the stitches
as
shown
on
page 12.
