Assembly
1) Remove all parts from shipping carton (see cover).
2) Use nonmetallic washers (between round search coil and clevis
ber rod) and ber bolt and thumbnut to secure search coil to ber
rod.
3) Insert ber rod into curved rod, line up buttons into one of
adjustment holes.
4) Unravel search coil cable and wind around rods (rst revolu-
tion over top of rod). Plug search coil cable into control box, screw
“nger-tight” to secure.
5) Grip by handle, with arm in elbow cup and sweep search coil
over oor. If necessary, for comfort, compress buttons and re-
position ber rod. If necessary, Elbow Cup is also adjustable for
comfort.

Unpack and Identify Parts

Remove all components from the shipping carton as shown on the cover.

Attach Search Coil

Secure the search coil to the fiber rod using nonmetallic washers, a fiber bolt, and a thumbnut.

Connect Rod Sections

Insert the fiber rod into the curved rod, aligning adjustment holes.

Connect Search Coil Cable

Unravel and wind the coil cable around the rods, then plug it securely into the control box.

Adjust for Comfortable Sweeping

Grip the handle, place arm in the elbow cup, and sweep the coil. Adjust as needed for comfort.

Searching and Operation

Powering On and Battery Check

Open battery door, install two 9V batteries, and press the ON/OFF button.

Sweeping Technique

Sweep the search coil evenly over the ground, close to the surface, overlapping passes.

Identifying Signals

Solid, repeatable beeps and display readings indicate a 'hit'. Use P/P to pinpoint.

Interpreting Undesirable Signals

Broken or inconsistent beeps and display indications suggest undesirable metals.

Display Indications Explained

Target Category and Indication

Shows typical metal target categories and the current metal being detected.

Discrimination and Rejection

Indicates settings for accepting or rejecting specific metal categories.

Battery and Depth Status

Displays low battery warnings and the estimated depth of detected metal targets.

Pinpoint and Sensitivity Settings

Shows if Pinpoint mode is active and the current sensitivity level.

Tone Identification

Indicates when tone identification features are activated.

Ground Balance Information

Details preset ground balance and manual override for mineralized ground.

Control Functions

Pinpoint Mode

Activates pinpoint mode for precise item location. Press again to resume searching.

Discrimination Control

Selects acceptance or rejection of categories from Iron to C1 (zinc cent).

Depth and Smart Notch

Depth is indicated automatically. Smart Notch eliminates tabs or accepts nickels.

MultiTone and VCO Pinpointing

MultiTone provides different tones per segment; VCO Pinpointing increases tone with target intensity.

Ground Balance Adjustment

Control for balancing/rejecting ground. Preset is for low/moderate mineralized grounds.

Mineralized Ground Balancing

Procedure for adjusting ground balance in heavily mineralized conditions for deeper penetration.
