Igniting the gas grill
Caution!
Read the following instructions for turning on/igniting and all safety instructions before lighting
the grill.
Check the grill for cracks, cuts, or other damage before use. Do not use the grill if the gas
hose is damaged or porous.
Open the grill lid before igniting the burner. Failure to do so may result in explosive ignition,
causing severe physical injury or death.
1. Open the grill lid before turning on the burner.
2. Set all temperature controls to the off position.
3. Open the gas cylinder valve. Do not lean over the grill surface.
4. Press and hold a temperature control knob, then turn it counterclockwise to the Max position.
5. Repeat this process if the flame does not ignite immediately.
6. Once the burner is lit, if necessary, turn a second or all temperature control knobs to the Max
position. The burners will ignite automatically.
7. The burner can be adjusted between the high flame and low flame settings using the tem-
perature control knob.
8. If the burner does not ignite after repeated attempts, press the temperature control knob and
turn it completely to the off position. Turn off the gas supply at the gas cylinder valve and wait
approximately 5 min. Repeat steps 4 and 5, or manually ignite the burner (see section Man-
ual ignition).
Manual ignition
Caution! Never light the grill with a match from above, always from below.
1. Open the grill lid before turning on the burner.
2. Set all temperature controls to the off position.
3. Open the gas cylinder valve. Do not lean over the grill surface.
4. Press and hold a temperature control knob, then turn it counterclockwise to the Max position.
5. Insert a lit, long matchstick from below through the hole under the side shelf, near the burner.
6. To ignite the next burner, press and hold the corresponding temperature control knob and turn
it to the Max position.
7. If the gas grill still does not ignite, please contact a qualified professional for assistance.
Preheating and firing up
It is recommended to preheat the grill for about 1015 min before each use.
Caution! The grill and the food will become very hot during operation, so any contact can cause se-
vere burns.
1. Preheat the device for about 15 min with the lid closed and on high flame without any food be-
fore the first grilling.
2. The heat will clean the internal parts and burn off manufacturing residues from coloured com-
ponents. This may cause odours and slight smoke, but it is harmless and short-lived.
3. Ensure adequate ventilation.
Cooking with the Lid Closed
1. The gas grill is equipped with a lid. This allows gentle cooking of larger pieces of meat and
whole poultry, similar to an oven.
2. With the lid closed, only one flame is needed. Set the temperature to low or medium flame.
3. Close the grill lid.
4. Avoid overheating the grill.
5. Minimise opening the lid to retain heat.
