Overview

The WOLSTEAD PRO RAPIDO PIZZA OVEN is a kitchen appliance designed for quickly cooking fresh or frozen pizzas. It features dual heating elements that can reach temperatures up to 400°C, allowing pizzas to cook in as little as 5 minutes. The oven includes an integrated viewing window and a timer with an audible alarm for convenience. For easy cleaning, it comes with a removable ceramic baking stone. Additionally, two stainless steel serving paddles are included with the appliance.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Power/Wattage: 1200W
  • Voltage: 220-240V
  • Maximum Temperature: 400°C

Usage Features:

The appliance is intended for indoor household use and similar applications such as staff kitchen areas, farmhouses, hotels, motels, and bed and breakfast environments. It is not intended for use by children or infirm persons without supervision.

Before first use, it is recommended to turn the temperature dial to 400°C and let the oven run for 10 minutes with the lid closed. This process burns off any lubricants from the heating elements and pre-seasons the pizza stone, which will not affect the oven's future performance and does not need to be repeated.

When cooking, the uncooked pizza should be placed directly on the ceramic stone surface. Small scratches or a darker color on the stone surface are normal and indicate that the stone is well seasoned. Knives or pizza cutters should not be used directly on the stone to avoid damaging its fine-grained cooking surface; pizzas should always be removed from the stone before cutting. Cooking oil or water should never be used directly on the stone for cooking, seasoning, or cleaning.

To cook a pizza, ensure the control knob is set to 0°C and the oven is empty except for the ceramic stone. Plug the cord into a power outlet. Preheat the pizza oven for 10 minutes at the 400°C setting. The heat indicator light will remain on until the appliance reaches its operating temperature, as preheating improves baking results.

Prepare the pizza base with desired toppings and transfer it to the preheated ceramic stone using the included paddles if necessary. It's important not to overfill the pizza with toppings and to avoid contact with the top heating element to prevent burning. Close the lid and allow the pizza to cook for 4-5 minutes at 400°C. Cooking times may vary, so it's recommended to open the lid after 3 minutes to check the pizza's progress. If it's not ready, simply close the lid and continue cooking.

When cooking multiple pizzas, leave the lid open and allow the oven to cool for a few minutes before adding the next pizza. If the pizza cooks too quickly, the heat setting can be turned down. Extreme caution is advised when opening the pizza oven due to the quick release of built-up steam; gloves or oven mitts are recommended for safety. The appliance surfaces, handles, and knobs can become hot during use.

Safety Information:

  • Always read all instructions prior to first use and retain the manual for future reference.
  • Always use the appliance on a firm and stable surface.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces; only touch handles and knobs when in use.
  • To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse the cord, plugs, or appliance in water or other liquids.
  • Unplug the appliance from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow it to cool before storing.
  • Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or if it malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Return it to a Kitchen Warehouse store for assistance.
  • Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
  • Do not place the appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
  • Exercise extreme caution when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
  • To disconnect, turn the temperature dial to 0°C, then unplug from the wall outlet and allow to cool.
  • Do not use the appliance for anything other than its intended purpose.
  • The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons to avoid a hazard.

Maintenance Features:

Following the care and maintenance recommendations will ensure many years of use for your pizza oven.

  • After each use, unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely to room temperature before touching surfaces or cleaning.
  • To clean the outside of the oven, use a damp cloth. Never dip or immerse the pizza oven in water or any other liquids, as this could cause electrical shock and damage.
  • To clean the ceramic stone, scrape off any excess food with a spatula or bristled brush. Wipe clean with a paper towel or a clean dishcloth. Do not use cooking oil, water, or detergents on the ceramic stone.
  • The serving paddles should be washed in warm water with mild dishwashing liquid and dried thoroughly. Do not allow them to stand in water, as saturation can damage them.
  • The ceramic stone should only be used for its intended purpose and not as a trivet or cutting stone.

Troubleshooting Guide:

  • Problem: The heat indicator light goes on and off.
    • Cause: This is an automatic thermostat light.
    • Solution: The light will stay on until the oven reaches the desired temperature setting.
  • Problem: The pizza is overcooked.
    • Cause: The temperature of the oven is too high.
    • Solution: If the pizza is cooking too quickly, turn the oven setting down to 320°C and continue cooking. Alternatively, finish cooking the pizza with the lid open.
  • Problem: The ceramic stone is dirty or marked.
    • Cause: Moisture on the bottom of the pizza base.
    • Solution: Stone marks are normal. Scrape off any excess material with the metal paddles and wipe with a damp cloth when the oven is cool.
