Why is there no audio from my Xantech D5KP?

  If you're not getting any audio from your Xantech Keypad, there are several things to check: * Make sure the speaker wires are properly connected at both ends. * Test the speakers by swapping them with ones that you know are working. * Confirm that the audio source is turned on and playing. Also, check the Tape Monitor settings on your A/V or stereo receiver. * Verify that the zone isn't muted by checking the MUTE indicator LED. * If you are using multi-channel digital audio formats (5.1, 7.1, etc.), switch the audio source digital output to PCM Stereo, as these formats are not supported by the Xantech Keypad.

  If your Xantech Keypad isn't powering on, consider these potential causes: 1. The RJ-45 plug may be crimped incorrectly, or the wiring pin-out of RJ-45 reversed. Verify the wiring and re-crimp the RJ-45 connector to the CAT-5 cable. 2. There might be a break in the CAT-5 cable between the zone and the head-end. Check the RJ-45 to RJ-45 connections with a cable tester or voltmeter.

Check if ambient light is shining on the built-in IR receiver or if it's in direct line with plasma TV noise. If the IR indicator is flashing when IR is not being sent, IR flooding is indicated. Disable the built-in IR Receiver and consider using an external IR Receiver.
