Pendant Cable Removal
Remove the lower front panel of your laser. If your model laser has fan panels attached to the door, be
sure to unplug them before setting the door to the side.
The control panel will be visible on the left side of the panel opening. At the front of the panel there is a
socket head screw that secures the panel to the laser. Using the allen wrench supplied in your toolkit,
remove the screw and set it to the side.
To remove the control panel, lift it straight up on the front as shown below. As you lift up, pull forward.
There is a hook that is built in to the base of the laser which hooks in to the rear of the control panel. By
Pulling forward as you lift up will slide the panel away from the hook.
As you lift and pull, gently slide the panel to the right. If you have cleared the hook then the panel will
slide freely. Once it moves free of the hook lower the panel and continue to slide it to the right until the
edge has cleared left opening of the laser as shown.
Remove the socket

panel to the right until it has cleared the
opening

Pendant Cable Removal

Remove Control Panel Screw

Remove locknuts from studs on the touchscreen sides to free it from the mounting points.

Remove Mounting Studs

Use pliers to gently twist and remove the four studs holding the touchscreen in place.

Color Touchscreen Installation

Identify Touchscreen Orientation

Use the ribbon cable's position to determine the correct top orientation for the new touchscreen.

Mount New Touchscreen

Center the touchscreen in the opening and secure it using four specified button head screws.

Route New Touchscreen Cable

Carefully route the new touchscreen cable back to the control panel along the original path.

Control Panel Connections

Position Control Panel for Connection

Shift the control panel to the correct position, ensuring cables are not stretched.

Connect Touchscreen to Control Panel

Locate and connect the touchscreen cable's connector to the designated port on the control panel.

Secure Ground Strap

Remove the corner screw from the control board and attach the ground strap to the right side.

Connect to Controller Pins

Connect the touchscreen cable's 2-pin plug to the correct pins (1 and 2) on the 3-pin controller connector.

Finishing Up

Reinstall Control Panel

Reverse the removal steps to slide the control panel back into place, checking for pinched cables.

Secure Control Panel and Ground

Replace the socket head screw to secure the controller, ensuring proper grounding for the laser.
