What to do if my Xylem Flowtronex SILENT STORM has low discharge pressure?
    • K
      kathleensmithAug 12, 2025
If your Xylem Water Pump has low discharge pressure, several factors could be responsible. The flow rate may be greater than the station capacity, or the system might be unable to pressurize in refill mode because too many sprinklers are active; in this case, adjust the irrigation demand as needed. It's also possible there's a large break in the irrigation piping, which would require repair. Another potential cause is low suction pressure or a supply water restriction, so it is advisable to check the supply piping for obstructions. If the water pressure from the city is lower than normal, contact them.

How to troubleshoot a Xylem Water Pump motor that won't start?
    • W
      Willie LopezAug 16, 2025
If the individual pump switch light is flashing, it indicates that the overload for that motor has tripped. In this case, the overload should be reset, adjusted, or replaced. If the individual pump switch light is off, and the pump is in VFD mode, check if the motor runs in XL mode. If it does, refer to the VFD troubleshooting section. If the individual pump switch light is green, the pump may be jammed. Disconnect the motor from the pump and attempt to run the motor separately.

What causes high discharge pressure in a Xylem Flowtronex SILENT STORM and how to fix it?
    • B
      Bradley MartinezAug 20, 2025
High discharge pressure in your Xylem Water Pump can stem from several causes. The high system pressure setting might be too low; in this case, verify that n70:0 is set to 60 seconds by pressing F1, F8, and F11. Alternatively, the system pressure transducer might be reading high; compare the display readout to the pressure gauge and calibrate if possible, replacing the transducer if necessary. Ensure that the isolation valve for the DSR or main discharge is open. If the DSR won't open fully, adjust the pilot valve as necessary, setting it 15 PSI over the set pressure.

Why does my Xylem Water Pump show a phase fault?
    • J
      josephhillAug 23, 2025
A phase fault in your Xylem Water Pump can occur due to several reasons. A previous power failure might be the cause; try pressing the station reset to clear the fault. If the incoming line voltage is less than 90% of the rated station voltage, consult the power company. A reversal, shift, or imbalance of the line phases, often after the power company has worked on the transformer, can also cause this issue, so contacting them is recommended.

How to resolve a low inlet pressure fault on my Xylem Flowtronex SILENT STORM?
    • M
      Miss Michelle GardnerAug 27, 2025
To resolve a low inlet pressure fault on your Xylem Water Pump, first, if the water is supplied by the city, check with them if the pressure is actually low. If the water is supplied by a tank, check the tank level. Ensure that the supply piping is not clogged or restricted. Also, make sure that the flow rate is less than the supply capacity.

What does a VFD fault on my Xylem Water Pump mean?
    • T
      Timothy DickersonAug 31, 2025
To determine the cause of a VFD fault on your Xylem Water Pump, check the VFD keypad for a specific fault code and then consult the VFD manual for troubleshooting steps. For example, fault code 3 indicates the drive heatsink is overheated and fault code 2 means that the intermediate circuit DC voltage is excessive.

What to do if my Xylem Water Pump shows a low level fault?
    • B
      Briana GrossSep 3, 2025
If your Xylem Water Pump is showing a low level fault, start by checking the supply pipe for any restrictions or closed valves. Inspect the inlet screen for clogs and clean it if necessary. Also, examine the level probes to ensure they are inserted to the correct depth.

How can I fix a loss of prime fault in my Xylem Flowtronex SILENT STORM Water Pump?
    • M
      Michelle SmithSep 7, 2025
To address a loss of prime fault in your Xylem Water Pump, check the system for a prime leak in the foot valve or suction line. Additionally, inspect the probe for dirt, corrosion, or failure, and clean or replace it as needed.
