Function Description

The XZENT X-F270 is a car-specific infotainer designed to integrate various entertainment and navigation features into a vehicle's dashboard. Its core function is to provide a centralized control hub for audio, communication, and navigation within the car environment. The device supports multiple audio sources, including DAB+ digital radio, FM radio, USB, iPod, and Bluetooth music streaming. For navigation, it utilizes a microSD card slot for map data and offers a dedicated navigation mode. Communication features include Bluetooth pairing for hands-free calling and contact management. Additionally, the X-F270 supports external device connectivity through A/V input and offers smartphone integration via WebLink and AndroidLink (features that may become available through future software updates). The system is designed to be functional in vehicles with a 12V DC battery and negative ground.

Usage Features

The X-F270 features a user-friendly interface with a main menu that provides quick access to all primary functions. • FM Radio: Provides access to FM radio with RDS tuner functionality, which transmits data like alternative frequencies and radio text. Users can initiate auto search and store presets, change AF behavior, and adjust reception mode (DX/LOC). The interface displays a frequency scale band with a marker for the current tuned frequency and allows seeking to receivable stations.
• USB/iPod/BT Music (A/V) Source: Allows playback of audio and video files from USB devices, iPods, and Bluetooth-connected phones. In list view, users can browse media files like a folder-file list and filter by media type (e.g., video files in USB mode). Video playback is only possible when the handbrake is engaged and can be viewed in full-screen mode.
• A/V In Source: Enables listening to audio from an external device connected via the audio line-in, played through the vehicle's loudspeakers.

• TFT (Screen): Controls screen brightness for day and night modes, dim mode (auto, day, night), and touchscreen auto standby (screen powers off after idle time, audio continues).
• Camera: Configures settings for the connected rear-view camera, including reverse mute (volume reduction), reverse delay (time until cam view closes), and camera picture adjustment (normal or horizontal mirrored).

Smartphone Integration:

• WebLink: (Future software update) Connects compatible phones to the XZENT device to use smartphone apps. Requires the WebLink Host App and connection via USB-1.
• AndroidLink: (Future software update) Connects compatible Android phones to the XZENT device for smartphone apps. Requires the AutoLink Host App, connection via USB-1, and acceptance of access and Bluetooth pairing requests.

Maintenance Features
