DESCRIPTION BEHAVIOR
Traction U, V, W bridge voltage out of range (low
or high) with MOSFETs off - (Pump Node 5)
Pump Disabled. No Lift / Aux Hydraulic functions.
Probable Causes and Test Procedures
1. Check motor phase voltage:
a. Ensure truck is powered up (key ON).
YES- Proceed to step 1b.
NO- Turn the key switch to the ON position.
b. Measure each motor phase terminal (U, V, & W) with reference to B−, is the output ~ 1/2 of B+
(~15V)?
YES- Proceed to Step 2.
NO- Proceed to Step 3.
2. Check for secure phase connections:
a. Is each motor phase wire connected to the controller posts securely?
YES- Proceed to Step 2b.
NO- Correctly torque phase connections to phase posts.
b. Are the terminal crimps on the each phase wire solid and secure?
YES- Proceed to Step 3.
NO- Repair the wire terminals.
3. Check for wiring shorts to frame:
a. Disconnect Battery from truck.
b. Measure between each phase (U,V,W) to frame with Ohm meter, is value > 470k?
c. Measure between B− and frame, is value > 470k?
d. Measure between B+ and frame, is value > 470k?
YES- Proceed to step 4.
NO- Determine location of short and resolve.
