DESCRIPTION BEHAVIOR
Drive capacitor voltage too low or pre-charge not
complete - (RH Node 3)
Contactor does not pull in.
Probable Causes and Test Procedures
9. Disconnect one controller B+ cable at a time. Start with the pump controller. Measure the voltage at the
truck side post of the line contactor. One of the controllers may have an internal short across the capcitor
bank. Unhook the pump controller B+ and connect both power wire together and don't allow them to touch
the B+ terminal on the controller. Turn the key switch to the ON position. Does the voltage come up to
approximately battery voltage? Turn the key switch OFF.
YES- Pump controller has an internal short. Use an ohm meter to measure across the B+ and B−
terminals. It should be 100 ohms or greater in at least one direction. If lower than 100 ohms, re-
place the controller.
NO- Perform the same checks on the Left Traction Controller and Right Traction Controller to verify
no internal shorts.
10. Contact Resident Service Engineering through the Contact Management System.
