DESCRIPTION BEHAVIOR
Joystick detected fault in Traction
Axis - (Joystick Node 22)
Traction Regen brake to stop, traction disabled.
Probable Causes and Test Procedures
1. Verify if the fault still exists:
a. Ensure the handle is returned to neutral (dead center).
b. Giving traction axis (throttle) does the vehicle move?
YES- Axis fault is intermittent, proceed to step 3.
NO- Proceed to step 2.
2. Is this the only Joystick Error Code present?
YES- Proceed to Step 3.
NO- Troubleshoot any power related codes first, otherwise proceed to step 5.
3. Test the handle for mechanical failure:
a. Is the handle physically broken or not returning to center?
YES- Replace handle.
NO- Proceed to step 4.
4. Check Throttle Axis signal through Dash / PC Service Tool.
a. Monitor the throttle output and ensure it moves to +/- 100% from stop to stop:
YES- Proceed to step 4b.
NO- Proceed to step 5.
b. Move the handle (throttle axis) to the mechanical stop and apply medium pressure. Does the fault
occur?
YES- Handle hall sensor is going out of range, replace handle.
NO- Problem is intermittent, perform Step 5 only.
