DESCRIPTION BEHAVIOR
Electric brake coil driver is damaged, not able to
disengage the brake - (LH Node 4, RH Node 3)
Traction always disabled. Hydraulic functions are al-
lowed.
Probable Causes and Test Procedures
1. Verify brake always engaged and truck is disabled.
YES- Proceed to step 2.
NO- Brake is disengaging, see other codes before troubleshooting this code.
2. Check brake coil:
a. Remove brake coil connections (CPS24 RH Traction, CPS26 LH).
b. Measure across coil connections (Pin 1 and 2) of electric brake and ensure coil resistance is be-
tween 15 to 20 Ohms.
YES- Proceed to step 3.
NO- Brake coil open, replace electric brake.
3. Verify power to coil:
a. Check for B+ at Pin 2 harness e-brake connector CPS24 (or CPS26 depending on node).
YES- Proceed to step 4.
NO- Proceed to step 3b.
b. Check wire 200 has B+ to Pin 3 of controller.
YES- Proceed to step 4.
NO- Repair cable and connections.
4. Check controller operation.
a. Is the line contactor pulling in?
b. Do the hydraulic valves function?
YES- Electric brake is suspect.
NO- Proceed to Step 5.
