      If the Style doesn't start on your Yamaha Musical Instrument when you press the [START/STOP] button, the Rhythm channel of the selected Style may not contain any data. To resolve this, turn the [ACMP ON/OFF] button on and play within the left-hand section on the keyboard to sound the accompaniment part of the Style.

      Styles in a USB storage device cannot be selected on your Yamaha Musical Instrument if the size of the Style data is large (about 120 KB or greater), the Style cannot be selected because the data is too large to be handled by the instrument.

      If only the rhythm channel plays on your Yamaha Musical Instrument, ensure the Auto Accompaniment function is enabled by pressing the [ACMP ON/ OFF] button. Also, make sure you are playing keys in the chord range of the keyboard, not the right-hand range.

      Song playback on your Yamaha Musical Instrument might not start for several reasons: * The Song may have stopped at the end of the data; press the SONG CONTROL [STOP] button to return to the beginning. * If write-protection is applied (“Prot. 2 Edit”), ensure the original file (“Prot.2 Orig”) is in the same folder. * If write-protection is applied, the original file name may have been changed; rename it to the original name. * If write-protection is applied, song playback is impossible if the file icon of the original has been changed.

      If an existing file is not showing on the display of your Yamaha Musical Instrument, it may be due to: * The file extension (.MID, etc.) may have been changed or deleted. In this case, manually rename the file, adding the appropriate extension, on a computer. * Data files with names of more than 50 characters cannot be handled by the instrument. Rename the file, reducing the number of characters to 50 or less.

      If you experience a strange “flanging” or “doubling” sound, or the sound differs each time keys are played on your Yamaha Musical Instrument, the RIGHT 1 and RIGHT 2 parts are set to “ON,” and both parts are set to play the same Voice. Turn off the RIGHT 2 part or change the Voice of one of the parts.
