What to do if the Style doesn't start on my Yamaha Musical Instrument?
    • M
      Matthew RileyAug 17, 2025
If the Style doesn't start, it could be that the Rhythm channel of the selected Style doesn't contain any data. Turn the [ACMP ON/OFF] button on and play in the left-hand section on the keyboard to sound the accompaniment part of the Style.
  • R
    Richard SmithAug 19, 2025
Why does the Vocal Harmony effect on my Yamaha Musical Instrument sound distorted?
    • R
      Regina TorresAug 20, 2025
The Vocal Harmony effect might sound distorted because your microphone is picking up extra sounds, like the Style sound from the instrument. Try singing closer to the microphone, using a unidirectional microphone, or lowering the Master volume. You can also adjust the volume balance on the Balance display.
  • R
    Rachel MurphyAug 22, 2025
How to enable accompaniment sounds on my Yamaha Musical Instrument?
    • M
      munozgeraldAug 23, 2025
First, ensure that the Auto Accompaniment function is activated by pressing the [ACMP ON/OFF] button. Also, make sure you are playing keys in the chord section of the keyboard.
  • T
    Terry YoungAug 26, 2025
Why is there no sound or strange sound in the left-hand section of my Yamaha Musical Instrument?
    • K
      kaitlynlopezAug 26, 2025
This can happen if the “Stop ACMP” parameter is set to something other than “Disabled”. Set the “Stop ACMP” parameter to “Disabled” or turn the [ACMP ON/OFF] button off.
  • J
    James AlvaradoAug 28, 2025
Why isn't the Vocal Harmony effect working on my Yamaha Musical Instrument?
    • J
      jennaalexanderAug 28, 2025
In Chordal mode, Vocal Harmony is only added when chords are detected. To resolve this, turn on the [ACMP ON/OFF] button and play chords in the chord section during Style playback. Alternatively, turn on the Left part and play chords in the left hand section, or play back a Song which contains chords. You can also set the “Stop ACMP” parameter to something other than “Disabled” via [Menu] ? [StyleSetting] ? [Setting].
  • M
    Melanie PalmerAug 30, 2025
Why does my Yamaha Musical Instrument have a strange flanging sound?
    • A
      Ashley NewtonAug 30, 2025
A strange flanging or doubling sound can occur if the Main and Layer parts are both on and set to play the same Voice. Turn off the Layer part or change the Voice of one of the parts.

    William HunterSep 2, 2025
How to fix a Yamaha Musical Instrument when a file is not shown on the display?
    • M
      Michael MccarthySep 2, 2025
The file extension (.MID, etc.) may have been changed or deleted. Manually rename the file on a computer, adding the appropriate extension. Also, data files with names of more than 50 characters cannot be handled by the instrument, so rename the file, reducing the number of characters to 50 or less.
  • K
    Kristina JenkinsSep 5, 2025
Why is the sound interrupted when using the AUX IN jack on my Yamaha Musical Instrument?
    • M
      mirandanathanSep 5, 2025
The interruption could be because the output volume of the external device connected to the [AUX IN] jack is too low. Increase the output volume of the external device. It is also possible that the Noise Gate function may be cutting the soft sounds, so turn off the “AUX IN Noise Gate” parameter.
  • D
    Dale MeyerSep 8, 2025
How do I get my Yamaha Musical Instrument speakers to turn off when I plug in headphones?
    • R
      ramosrobinSep 8, 2025
If the speakers do not switch off when headphones are connected, the Speaker setting is likely set to “On.” Change the speaker setting to “Headphone Switch” via [Menu] ? [Utility] ? [Speaker/Connectivity].
  • M
    Melissa GraySep 12, 2025
Why aren't the pedals working on my Yamaha Musical Instrument?
    • B
      Brent LewisSep 12, 2025
The pedal cord plug may not be securely connected to the pedal jack. Securely insert the pedal cord plug into the proper jack. Also, make sure that each pedal is properly assigned to “Sustain,” “Sostenuto” and “Soft”.
