How to fix a Yamaha Inverter when the engine won’t start?
- AAshley HuberJul 29, 2025
If your Yamaha Inverter's engine won’t start, several factors could be at play. First, ensure that fuel is being supplied to the combustion chamber and that the fuel cock lever is in the 'ON' position. Check if there's fuel in the tank. A clogged fuel line or foreign matter in the fuel cock might also be the culprit; in that case, clean the fuel line or fuel cock, respectively. Also, inspect the carburetor for clogs and clean it if necessary. Low oil level can prevent the engine from starting, so add engine oil if needed. Make sure that the engine switch and the AC switch (N.F.B.) are in the 'ON' position. Finally, the spark plug may be carboned; clean the carbon or wipe the spark plug dry. If none of these steps work, it is best to consult a Yamaha dealer.
