  If your Yamaha Boat is submerged or flooded, take the following steps: - Beach the boat and remove the stern drain plugs to drain water from the engine compartment. - Turn the fuel cock knob to "OFF". - Remove the spark plugs and dry them with a cloth. - Crank the engine (without spark plugs) to drain water from the cylinders. - Reinstall the stern drain plugs and spark plugs. - Turn the fuel cock to "ON". - Launch the boat and run the engine for at least 10 minutes; repeat the above steps if it doesn't start. - Turn the engine off and set the fuel cock to "OFF". - Remove silencer caps and spray a rust inhibitor (like Yamaha Stor-Rite Engine Fogging Oil) into the carburetor while cranking the engine. - Have the boat inspected by a Yamaha dealer as soon as possible.
