Why does my Yard Machines 611 engine run erratically?
    • S
      Sean MannJul 30, 2025
An erratic running engine in your Yard Machines Snow Blower can stem from a few issues. It might be running on CHOKE, have a blocked fuel line or stale fuel, or there could be water or dirt in the fuel system. Another possibility is that the carburetor is out of adjustment. To fix this, move the choke lever to the OFF position, clean the fuel line and refill the tank with fresh gasoline (especially if it's been more than 30 days, use a fuel stabilizer). You might also need to drain the fuel tank and refill it with fresh fuel. For carburetor adjustments, consult the engine manual or seek assistance from an authorized service dealer.

If your Yard Machines Snow Blower isn't discharging snow, the discharge chute might be clogged, or a foreign object could be lodged in the auger. It could also be due to incorrect adjustment of the drive cable or a loose/damaged drive belt. To address this: * Immediately stop the engine and disconnect the spark plug wire. * Clean the discharge chute and the inside of the auger housing. * Remove any foreign objects from the auger. For cable and belt issues, adjust the drive cable or replace the drive belt, referring to the Adjustment and Maintenance sections of this manual, respectively.
