What to do if Yellow Jacket Water Pump has poor vacuum?
    • A
      Austin HernandezAug 16, 2025
A poor vacuum could be due to dirty oil, a loose drive coupling or set screw, a bent or broken exhaust valve, the pump not oiling, or malfunctioning vanes. Flush the pump one to three times. Repair or replace the drive coupling or exhaust valve. Contact the factory for issues with oiling or vanes.

What to do if the Yellow Jacket Water Pump has oil leakage?
    • J
      Julia CalhounSep 12, 2025
If oil is leaking between the front and rear half of the oil case, tighten all screws and replace the gasket if needed. If the shaft seal leaks, replace it. You can also wipe the pump dry and watch for the source of the leak, then tighten screws and repair as necessary.

Why is my Yellow Jacket Water Pump not pumping?
    • R
      Robert Cox Jr.Aug 22, 2025
The pump may not be pumping because the valve is left open, O-rings under the caps are missing, or the oil is contaminated. Change the valve and O-rings, change the oil twice, and then recheck the vacuum.

Why is my Yellow Jacket Water Pump so noisy?
    • G
      Gina CostaAug 26, 2025
Pumps can be noisy when they haven't achieved a high vacuum. Listen to the pump at high vacuum; if it's relatively quiet, it's running properly. If it's still noisy, there may be a system leak.

What to do if the Yellow Jacket Water Pump ultimate does not meet mfg. spec?
    • P
      Paul RogersAug 28, 2025
If the pump's ultimate doesn't meet the manufacturer's specifications, it could be due to the pump being dropped, a micron gauge malfunction, poor motor performance, dirty oil, air leaks, system leaks, or fitting sealant compound. Contact the factory, verify with a second gauge, repair or replace components, flush the pump one to three times, or isolate and repair leaks.
