stations. This section describes features of the Recommended Switches.
Features of Recommended Switches
• Yokogawa certified Buyout equipment for Vnet/IP
• Stable supply of the tested models
• Customized default configuration for Vnet/IP
• Service by Yokogawa engineer (*1)
*1: Yokogawa service engineers support the Recommended Switch in case it is used for Vnet/IP. Use it only for Vnet/IP, as other
network connection is not guaranteed or supported.
Categories of Recommended Switches
Two types of the recommended Switches are available.
• Managed Switch
A managed switch has configuration function and self-diagnostic function so that it can be
placed anywhere on the Vnet/IP network.
• Unmanaged Switch
An unmanaged switch is not equipped with either configuration function or self-diagnostic
function so that it can be placed only on the edge of the Vnet/IP network.
