Questions and Answers

Why does my ZEKS Eclipse 120ZPA have an elevated dew point?
    • J
      Joseph CarrollAug 14, 2025
An elevated dew point in your ZEKS Dryer can stem from several causes. It may be due to an insufficient purge rate, so check the purge flow settings and piping for obstructions, cleaning the piping and muffler if needed. Also, inlet air pressure below the design condition, a flow rate higher than the design condition, or an inlet temperature exceeding 120F can contribute to this issue. Check the pressure source and system for leaks, verify the flow rate, and inspect/service the aftercooler. Finally, entrained water entering the desiccant bed or desiccant contaminated by oil could be the reason. In this case, check the air/moisture separator, prefilter, and drains, replacing the dryer desiccant if necessary. Consider installing a suitable prefilter.

What to do if there is excessive pressure drop in my ZEKS Eclipse 120ZPA?
    • C
      Carla NewmanAug 18, 2025
If you're experiencing an excessive pressure drop in your ZEKS Dryer, it could be due to an excessive flow rate. Check the flow rate and determine the cause for the increased air demand. Alternatively, the inlet pressure may be below the design condition, so you should check the pressure source.

How to fix a ZEKS Eclipse 120ZPA Dryer that fails to shift?
    • J
      Juan WagnerAug 21, 2025
If your ZEKS Dryer isn't shifting, begin by checking the power input to ensure there's no issue with the power supply. Then, inspect the solenoid valve for any defects. Also, verify that there is pilot air by checking the pilot air line and ensuring the control air line filter is clean. Lastly, inspect the pilot-operated diaphragm valve seat for failure, replacing seals as needed.

What does it mean if the Blue Moisture Indicator (BMI) on my ZEKS Eclipse 120ZPA indicates a high moisture level?
    • T
      tammy19Aug 25, 2025
If the Blue Moisture Indicator (BMI) on your ZEKS Dryer indicates a high moisture level, it could be due to an elevated dew point. Refer to the corrective actions for 'Elevated Dew Point'. Also, if the BMI is wet, depending on the desiccant saturation, it could take a week or more of continuous use for it to switch back to its blue (dry) state.

What to do if my ZEKS Eclipse 120ZPA Dryer fails to pressurize?
    • C
      Christina RiveraAug 28, 2025
If your ZEKS Dryer fails to pressurize, it may be due to a faulty purge valve. Check that the repressurization circuit is sending a control signal and inspect the purge valve and its solenoid valve.

Why does my ZEKS Dryer fail to purge?
    • J
      Jody CarterAug 31, 2025
If your ZEKS Dryer fails to purge, it could be because the purge valve does not open or is stuck in the closed position. Check the purge valve and its solenoid valve, repairing or replacing them if necessary. Also, verify that the repressurization circuit is sending a control signal.

    David SmithSep 3, 2025
Why is my ZEKS Eclipse 120ZPA depressurizing too rapidly?
    • H
      Haley CortezSep 3, 2025
If your ZEKS Dryer is depressurizing too rapidly, it could be that the purge valve doesn't close, and the dryer is repressurizing through the inlet valve. Check the purge valve and its solenoid valve.

How to resolve excessive back pressure in the regenerating tower (above 5 psig) of my ZEKS Eclipse 120ZPA Dryer?
    • K
      Krystal ZunigaSep 7, 2025
Excessive back pressure in the regenerating tower (above 5 psig) of your ZEKS Dryer can occur if the purge muffler does not pass air, indicating it is dirty and needs replacement. Alternatively, it could be that the purge muffler passes too much air because air is leaking across the valve. In this case, check the inlet valve and outlet check valves, and verify that the inlet valve is closed to the purging tower (0 psig tower).

What causes excessively high pressure at the purge gauge on the right tower of my ZEKS Dryer?
    • H
      hhoodSep 12, 2025
An excessively high pressure reading at the purge gauge on the right tower of your ZEKS Dryer may be due to improper calibration. Reset the gauge when the right tower is online.
