REPLACEMENT OF THE FUEL FILTER
CARTRIDGE
Put a suitable vessel under the
engine before the fuel filter
cartridge replacement, to catch
the dropping fuel from the filter.
1. Release the nut (1).
2. Unscrew the bowl (2).
3. Clean the bowl and replace the filter
cartridge.
4. Check the bowl seal if it fits correctly.
5. Reassemble the bowl.
6. Bleed the fuel system.
BLEEDING THE FUEL SYSTEM
Prior to start bleeding, put a
suitable vessel under the engine
to catch the dropping fuel from
filter and injection pump.
1. Prime the fuel system by several
strokes of the hand delivery pump (1).
2. Loosen the screw of the fuel filter feed
piping connection (2) and let the foam
escape.
3. Retighten the screw (2) and repeat
the procedure until the pure foam-free
fuel starts to flow out fluently after
loosening the screw.
4. Bleed the injection pump in the same
way.
5. Bleeding is made by means of the
screw (3) located on the injection
pump housing.
