This document describes the Zokop ICM-2005 ice maker, a household appliance designed for convenient ice production.
Function Description
The Zokop ICM-2005 is an automatic ice maker that produces bullet-shaped ice. It offers quick ice making, with the ability to produce 9 pieces of ice in approximately 9 minutes and 30 seconds. Users can select between two different ice sizes: small and large. The device also includes an automatic cleaning function for ease of maintenance.
The ice maker features a control panel with several indicators and buttons. The display shows the ice making dynamic icon, cleaning icon, big ice icon, small ice icon, ice making icon, water shortage alarm, and water full alarm. The buttons include "Clean," "S/L" (Mode selection), and "On/Off" (Start/Stop).
Upon plugging in the power supply, the display will turn on, and the machine will initiate a deicing function. After a period of inactivity, it automatically enters standby mode. The "Start/Stop" button activates the ice making function, defaulting to big ice mode. The "S/L" button allows users to select the desired ice size. The "Clean" button, when pressed in conjunction with the "Start/Stop" button, activates a 150-second automatic cleaning cycle, after which the machine returns to standby.
The machine includes a time display that starts counting in minutes once ice making begins. This timer continues throughout the working period and resets to zero after reaching 99:99.
Safety features include a water shortage alarm, which activates if no water flow is detected within 5 seconds during pumping, causing the machine to stop operation. An "ICE FULL" indicator illuminates when the ice basket is full (detected by an infrared sensor being blocked for more than 5 seconds), at which point the machine pauses operation and the icon flashes. Ice production resumes once the sensor is clear.
Usage Features
To operate the ice maker, first open the lid, remove the ice basket, and add water to the reservoir. It is crucial not to exceed the "MAX" water level indicated inside the reservoir. If too much water is added, the excess must be drained via the bottom drain plug. Once water is added and the transparent lid is closed, plug in the power cord and press the "Start/Stop" button to begin. Users can then select their preferred ice size using the "S/L" button.
For optimal performance, it is recommended to choose small ice when the indoor temperature is below 15 degrees Celsius and large ice when the temperature exceeds 30 degrees Celsius. During the initial three cycles of use, the ice produced may be small and irregular. When the ice basket is full, it is important to remove the ice promptly to prevent overflow.
The ice maker is designed for household and similar applications, including staff kitchen areas, farmhouses, hotels, motels, and bed and breakfast environments. It is not intended for outdoor use.
Maintenance Features
Regular cleaning is essential for maintaining the ice maker. The inner liner, ice collecting tray, water box, ice shovel, and evaporator should be cleaned frequently. Before cleaning, always unplug the unit and remove any ice cubes. A diluted solution of water and vinegar can be used to clean both the inside and outside surfaces of the ice maker. It is important not to spray the ice maker with harsh chemicals or diluted agents such as acids, gasoline, or oil. After cleaning, rinse all components thoroughly before restarting the machine.
To ensure the cleanliness of the ice, it is recommended to change the water in the reservoir at least once a day. If the appliance will not be used for an extended period, drain the water completely and clean the unit.
The machine's ventilation openings should be kept clear of obstructions to ensure proper heat release. A minimum distance of 8cm from other objects is recommended, and at least 150mm from the back of the ice maker to a wall. Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate the defrosting process beyond what is recommended by the manufacturer.
If the machine has been idle for some time, it may not have enough water to pump, triggering the "ADD WATER" indicator. In such cases, simply repress the "POWER" button to restart the ice maker. If the compressor experiences a strike action due to water shortage, a full water reservoir, or a power interruption, there will be a 3-minute delay before it restarts. Always use fresh water when starting ice production, whether it's the initial setup or after a long period of inactivity.
In case of a power failure or if the power button is pressed off during an ice making cycle, small ice chips might jam the automatic shovel. If this occurs, disconnect the power cord, gently push the shovel to the rear of the cabinet, remove the ice chips, and then restart. If the ice shovel cannot move ice to the basket, check if the water reservoir is flat; if not, gently push the ice shovel with a finger and press "POWER" to restart.
The appliance uses R600a refrigerant, which is flammable, as are the non-metallic materials. When disposing of the appliance, it should be taken to an authorized waste disposal center and not exposed to flame. The product is marked for correct disposal, indicating it should not be disposed of with other household waste in the EU. It should be recycled responsibly to promote sustainable reuse of materials.
