andcongurationdata.TheycanalsooperateandmaintainonetypeofNEsthroughthe
topologicalview.TheOMCprovidesthefollowingfunctions:

Adds,queries,deletes,modiesphysicalandradioresourcedataofBTSs.Performs
dataconsistencycheck;andsupportsdynamicandstaticdatacongurationmodes.
lSecuritymanagement
Ensuresthatonlyauthorizeduserscanperformthespeciedgroupsofcommands.
lPerformancemanagement
Supportsperformanceanalysis,invocationtracing,andsignalingtracing.
lVersionmanagement
ThroughtheOMC,userscanquerythesoftwareandhardwareversionsthatarein
use.TheOMCprovidesthesoftwaredownloadmechanism,supportingsoftware
upgradeofNEs.
lFaultmanagement
Supportsalarmmanagementanddiagnosistest.MonitorstheBTSoperatingstatusin
acentralizedmanner;Collectsabnormalinformationofboardsandlinksinrealtime,
