Highlights
At the large remote office, two
managed LinkBuilder FMS II hubs
combine with a remote router in a
SuperStack system, including the
Redundant Power System for added
reliability and maximum uptime. As
the network grows, more LinkBuilder
FMS II hubs can be added to the same
SuperStack system, forming a single
logical repeater. The hub’s advanced
RMON functionality features a
proactive polling mechanism for
cost-effective remote management.
Transceiver interface modules are
also available for backbone media
connections. (See page 19.)
Highlights
The large departmental workgroup at
the central site is an ideal application
for the powerful LinkBuilder MSH
hub. The LinkBuilder MSH is 3Com’s
most advanced, fault-tolerant floor
distribution concentrator, providing
high port density, resilient links, and
hot-swappable modules for maximum
uptime in mission-critical applica-
tions. A single management module
provides SNMP-based Transcend
management for the entire hub.
