Technical Notes:
1. A roller-cleaning pad is available to clean the rollers in the dispenser. This is to clean the laminating
rolls should they become sticky with adhesive (usually only the case when using transfer adhesive).
Packages of five cleaning pads are available through distribution (LS990).
2. The 3M Laminating Systems are now recommended for photographs. The chemistry of colour or
black & white photographs will not react with the adhesive used in the laminating system and will not
affect the photographs.
3. Anything laminated with the 3M system should be considered a permanent lamination. The film is
NOT removable without substantial damage to the original that was laminated. For this reason, this
system should not be used to laminate/protect any one-of-a-kind originals (i.e. birth certificates,
marriage licenses, etc.)
