Why is there sensitivity loss in my AB Sciex Triple Quad 4500 system?

Sensitivity loss in your AB Sciex Laboratory Equipment can occur due to several reasons. It might be caused by a dirty curtain plate or a dirty orifice plate. Clean the curtain plate as described on page 124 of the manual. Also, clean the front of the orifice plate as described on page 124 of the manual. If the QJet® ion guide, Q0 or IQ0 is dirty, contact an FSE or the local Qualified Maintenance Person. Another possible reason is that the instrument or ion source requires tuning and optimizing.
