If an occupant is hard of hearing, sleeping in another room or under the influence of drugs or alcohol, then
they are not able to hear the alarm and are not in a position to react to the alarm.
The detector is not able to warn in a preventative manner. Avoid risks to safety such as smoking in bed,
incorrect storage of flammable materials, overloaded circuits and allowing children to play with matches.
12. Installation
Warning
When marking out the drill holes, make sure there are no electrical wires or cables, pipes or other
important components behind them.
If in doubt, consult an expert before drilling.
Use the mounting plate as a template for marking the positions of the drill holes (see Fig. 10) Pay
attention to the orientation of the markings which are moulded into the mounting plate.
Mark the drill holes and mark two holes for the wall plugs.
