To resolve errors with the external CD-ROM drive on your Acer Laptop, try the following steps: 1. Reconnect the connector on the System board. 2. Reconnect the external diskette drive/CD-ROM module. 3. If the problem persists, replace the external diskette drive/CD-ROM module. 4. As a last resort, replace the main board.
