Overview

The ADJ Fog Fury 2000 is a commercial fog machine designed for reliable performance over many years when operated according to the guidelines provided in its manual. This unit is intended for indoor use only, and its use outdoors will void all warranties. It is crucial to handle this device with the same care as an electric kettle or iron, as it emits hot vapor. Never point or aim the fog machine towards people or their clothing.

Function Description:

The Fog Fury 2000 features a fog juice level sensor. When the fog juice level is low, an LED located below the reservoir will flash, indicating the need for a refill. Should the fog juice level drop even further, a built-in sensor within the reservoir will automatically shut off the pump, significantly extending the pump's lifespan. This fog machine incorporates a revolutionary new heating element specifically engineered to prevent excessive particle buildup, which is a common cause of premature fogger failure. The unit also includes a remote control, which can be detached when not in use.

Usage Features:

To set up the unit, first, carefully remove it from its shipping carton, ensuring all packing material, especially around the nozzle, is removed. Place the fog machine on a flat, dry surface. The included bracket can be installed using the provided hardware to the side casing; this bracket is optional but necessary if you intend to suspend the unit from a truss. Fill the fog fluid reservoir with ADJ brand fog juice, ensuring the feeder tube with the filter is deep inside the reservoir, then tighten the cap. Firmly attach the remote control unit to the rear remote control socket on the unit.

Once plugged into a matching power supply, the fluid reservoir will glow red, indicating that the unit is heating up. Allow approximately eight minutes for the fogger to reach its normal operating temperature. When ready, the reservoir will glow blue. Fog can then be emitted by pressing the button on the remote or using the manual button on the rear of the unit. If the LED under the reservoir begins to flash, it signifies that the fog juice fluid is low.

For remote operation, connect the remote to the fog machine. After plugging in and turning on the machine, a red power LED on the remote will illuminate, indicating that the unit is receiving power. The unit requires about eight minutes to warm up. Once warmed, a green LED on the remote will light up, signaling that the unit is ready to emit fog. To emit fog, simply press the button on the remote for the desired duration. If the green LED is on but no fog is emitted after holding the button for 30 seconds, check the fluid tank to ensure sufficient fog juice. Always maintain an adequate supply of ADJ Brand Fog Juice in the fluid reservoir, as running the machine dry will cause pump failure or clogging, which is the most common cause of failure in fog and haze machines. Only ADJ Fog Juice is recommended. Before removing or replacing the remote control unit, disconnect the power supply.

Troubleshooting:

If the LED below the fluid reservoir flashes slowly, it indicates that the machine is running low on fog juice. A quick flash of this LED means the thermal sensor wire has disconnected or is malfunctioning. If the LED flashes intermittently, it suggests a communication fault between the thermo circuit and the main control circuit. Should you experience low fog output, pump noise, or no fog output at all, immediately disconnect the unit and discontinue use. Do not continue pressing the remote control's activation button, as this could damage the fog machine. Check the fluid level, the external fuse, the remote connection, and confirm that the wall outlet is providing power. If all these checks appear normal and the unit still fails to operate correctly, it will require service.

Maintenance Features:

When storing your fog machine, ensure it is kept in a cool area and covered to prevent dust buildup. For long periods of inactivity, it is highly recommended to run the machine every 3-4 months, as prolonged disuse can severely shorten its lifespan. Only use water-based fog juice in your machine; never use plain water, vinegar, or any other liquid solution, as this will severely damage the machine.

Safety Precautions:

Always save the packing carton in case the unit needs to be returned for service. Prevent water or other liquids from spilling into or onto the fogger, ensuring all fog fluid remains within the fluid reservoir. Verify that the local power outlet matches the required voltage for your fog machine. Never remove the top cover, as there are no user-serviceable parts inside. Disconnect the unit's main power when it will be unused for extended periods. Never connect this unit to a dimmer pack. Do not attempt to operate the unit if it is damaged in any way or if its cover is removed. To reduce the risk of electrical shock or fire, do not expose the unit to rain or moisture. Do not operate the unit if the power cord is frayed or broken, and never attempt to remove or break off the ground prong from the electrical cord, as this prong reduces the risk of electrical shock and fire in case of an internal short. Disconnect from main power before making any connections. Never block the ventilation holes; always mount the unit in an area that allows proper ventilation, maintaining about 6 inches (15 cm) between the device and a wall. Always mount the unit securely and stably. Route the power cord away from foot traffic to prevent it from being walked on, pinched, or pressed against by other items. The unit should only be serviced by qualified personnel if the power-supply cord or plug is damaged, objects have fallen or liquid has spilled into the unit, the unit has been exposed to rain or water, or if the appliance does not operate normally or exhibits a marked change in performance.
