A removable remote control device is included for convenient operation.
The primary function of the ADJ VF400 is to produce fog for various applications, such as enhancing lighting effects, creating atmospheric ambiance, or for theatrical productions. It achieves this by heating a specialized water-based fog fluid to create a hot vapor, which is then expelled through its nozzle. Setting up the VF400 is a straightforward process. Upon unboxing, users should carefully remove all packing material, paying particular attention to the area around the nozzle. The machine should be placed on a flat, dry surface. An included bracket can be attached to the sides of the fog machine using supplied hardware; while detachable and not required for tabletop use, it is essential for suspended installations. The fog fluid reservoir must be filled exclusively with ADJ brand fog juice, and the cap should be securely replaced. It is crucial to always maintain an adequate supply of ADJ® Brand Fog juice™ in the fluid reservoir, as running the machine dry is the most common cause of pump failure and/or clogging.
The remote control unit, the VF400R, connects firmly to a dedicated socket on the back of the unit. Once plugged into a power supply that meets the required voltage, a red LED on the remote control will illuminate, signaling that the device is warming up. The warm-up time is approximately five minutes. After the unit has reached its operating temperature, a green LED will also illuminate on the remote (the red LED should remain illuminated), indicating that the unit is ready to emit fog. Fuse replacement is a user-serviceable task. To replace a fuse, the unit must first be disconnected from its power source, and the power cord removed. The fuse holder is located inside the power socket. A flat-head screwdriver can be used to gently pry out the fuse holder. The old fuse should be removed and replaced with a new one. The fuse holder also conveniently includes a slot for a spare fuse.
The manufacturer's limited warranty covers manufacturing defects in material and workmanship for a prescribed period from the date of purchase. For warranty service, an Return Authorization (RA#) must be obtained from ADJ Products, LLC Service Department. The product must be shipped pre-paid to the ADJ Products, LLC factory in its original packaging, without accessories. The warranty is void if the serial number is altered or removed, if the product is modified in any manner that affects its reliability, if repairs are attempted by unauthorized personnel, or if the product is not properly maintained. The warranty does not cover maintenance, cleaning, or periodic check-ups.
