What to do if my Advanced Elements AdvancedFrame AE1007 does not hold air while inflating?

      Richard JohnsonJul 26, 2025
If your Advanced Elements Boat isn't holding air during inflation, there are several potential causes. First, ensure the spring valve's plunger is closed by pushing it in and rotating it counter-clockwise; it should only be open when deflating. Second, verify you're using a bellows foot pump or a double-action hand pump, as a 12-V electric pump may not provide enough pressure to fully inflate the kayak. Finally, even with the plunger closed, a small air leak may occur due to the black rubber gasket inside the cap.

Why is my Advanced Elements Boat still losing air after inflation?
    • C
      Casey HebertAug 10, 2025
If your Advanced Elements Boat continues to lose air, several factors could be responsible. One possibility is a pinhole or puncture in the tube; to check, remove the tube from the outer cover, inflate it, and use a soapy water solution to identify leaks, which can then be repaired with a repair kit or glue. Alternatively, the tube may need adjustment within the outer shell after full deflation and before reinflation. Over inflation can also damage the I-beam, leading to air loss, which is irreparable. Make sure that the floor is properly centered inside the kayak cover. If the floor is off-center it will cause uneveness in the kayak.
