The MIGRO ARAY is a modular LED grow light system designed for full-cycle plant growth, from seedling to harvest. It features a full spectrum light output and offers various configurations to suit different grow tent sizes and plant stages.

Function Description:

The MIGRO ARAY system provides artificial light for indoor plant cultivation, mimicking natural sunlight to support photosynthesis and plant development. It is designed to maximize yield through a balanced PAR (Photosynthetically Active Radiation) spread. The system includes LED bars, an LED driver, and various accessories for assembly and hanging. The LED driver is remote, which helps minimize the hanging weight of the fixture and removes heat from the grow tent, thereby increasing the driver's lifespan and reducing light decay. The system offers dimming capabilities, allowing users to adjust light intensity for different plant growth stages.

Important Technical Specifications:

• Voltage: The system operates on a supply voltage ranging from 100V to 277V AC at 50 to 60Hz frequency. The voltage in the grow room is limited to 96Vdc.
• IP Rating: The grow light and the cabling from the LED driver to the grow light are IP66 rated, making them suitable for wet areas. The mains power plug is not IP rated and should be located in a dry area outside the grow room.
• Spectrum: Full spectrum, inspired by nature, designed for full-cycle growth.
  • 5000K: Promotes plant germination.
  • 3000K: Boosts plant flowering.
  • 660nm: Promotes plant flowering.
• Cooling: Highly efficient passive cooling heatsink.
• Driver Protection: Inbuilt protection for overcurrent, shorts, and overheating. The driver automatically restarts if conditions return to normal after a shutdown.
• Dimming: 0-100% dimming capability.
• Daisy Chain: Up to 15 drivers can be connected in a daisy chain for simultaneous dimming control.
• System Efficiency: For ARAY 8 and ARAY 12, the system efficiency is 2.34 µmols/watt.
• Light Weight: A typical ARAY 2 package weighs 7 lbs.

Usage Features:

• Modular Assembly: LED bars connect using provided connector brackets and an allen-wrench.
• Hanging: Ratchet hangers are used to attach the grow light to the cable splitter. For ARAY 4, 8, and 12, clips attach to each cable splitter, and a single ratchet hanger attaches to each cable. The LED driver can be hung using an S hook or carabiner clip.
• Dimmer Adjustment (ARAY 2,3,4,8 & 12):
  • Seedlings: Start at 1/3 turn from off (approx. 30% output) at 14" (35cm) hanging height for the first 2-3 weeks.
  • Vegging Cycle (Plants over three weeks old): Hang at 16" (40cm) over the plant canopy, set dimmer to 75%.
  • Flowering Cycle: Hang at 6" to 10" (16cm to 25cm) over the plant canopy for maximum efficiency, set dimmer to 100%. For maximum uniformity and about 5% reduced PAR, hang at 16" (40cm).
• Dimmer Adjustment (ARAY 1 & 1L seedling light): Specific instructions for these models are not detailed but imply similar adjustable intensity.
• PAR Intensity Guide: A chart indicates optimal PAR intensity (500-1,000 µmols/m²) for maximum yield, with zones for "Too high," "High growth," "Medium growth," "Low growth," and "No Growth." Higher PPFD levels may require additional CO2.
• PPFD Maps: Detailed PPFD (Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density) maps are provided for various ARAY configurations (ARAY 2, 3, 4, 8, 12, ARAY 1, ARAY 1L) in different tent sizes (2x2, 2x4, 3x3, 4x4, 5x5) at specific hanging heights and dimmer settings for seedling, vegetative, and flowering stages. These maps help users optimize light distribution and intensity.
• Remote LED Driver: The driver should be located outside the grow area in a dry, safe, and well-ventilated position to extend its lifespan by keeping it cool.
• Daisy Chain Dimming: A toggle switch on the driver allows it to be set as a "master" (switch on) or "slave" (switch off) for synchronized dimming of multiple units.

Maintenance Features:

• Low Maintenance: The MIGRO grow light system requires almost no maintenance.
• Cleaning: The only required maintenance is to keep the heatsink and the LED surface clean to maintain cooling performance and light output.
  • Procedure: Switch off power, use warm water and soap with a damp cloth.
  • Caution: Do not use solvents, acid-based, or abrasive cleaners on any components, as this may damage the product's finish, electrical components, or LED coating.
• Airflow: Ensure adequate room for airflow (at least 5cm or 2" clearance on three sides) around the heatsink to prevent heat buildup.
• Driver Temperature Management: The driver's output current will be reduced if its case temperature reaches 90°C (195°F). If the temperature does not decrease, it will power off until temperatures have reduced. To minimize driver temperature, locate it low at the air intake, with outgoing air moving across the heatsink.
• LED Bar Durability: The small LEDs (SMDs) are protected from water and dust with a conformal coating, allowing them to be wiped clean. However, they are delicate and require care during handling and assembly.
