This document is a user manual for the AEG FSB52617Z dishwasher. It provides comprehensive information on the appliance's safety, installation, operation, maintenance, and technical specifications.
Function Description
The AEG FSB52617Z is a dishwasher designed to clean crockery and cutlery efficiently. It features a water softener system to manage water hardness, a rinse aid dispenser for improved drying, and a detergent dispenser for washing. The appliance offers various wash programmes, including a Quick programme for lightly soiled items, a 1h programme for fresh and lightly dried-on soil, a 1h 30min programme for normally soiled items, a 2h 40min programme for heavily soiled items, and an ECO programme for the most efficient energy and water consumption. The AUTO Sense programme automatically adjusts the wash cycle based on the load type and soil degree.
A unique feature is the "Beam-on-Floor," a light projected onto the floor below the appliance door. This light indicates the programme status: red for active, green for completed, and flashing red for a malfunction. The AirDry function automatically opens the appliance door during the drying phase to enhance drying results. The "Auto Off" function saves energy by switching off the appliance when not operating.
The dishwasher also includes a "Machine Care" programme specifically designed to clean the appliance interior, removing limescale and grease buildup.

- EXTRAS:
- ExtraPower: Improves washing results by increasing wash temperature and duration.

- AUTO Sense: Automatically adjusts the wash cycle based on soil degree and load amount.
- Delay Start: Allows delaying the programme start from 1 to 24 hours.
- ECOMETER: Indicates energy and water consumption for the selected programme.
- Indicators: Rinse aid, Salt, Machine Care, and Drying phase indicators.
- Basic Settings: Users can adjust water hardness, rinse aid empty notification, end sound, Auto door open (AirDry), key tones, and latest programme selection.
- Loading: The appliance is designed for dishwasher-safe items. Hollow items should be placed with openings facing downwards, and items should not touch or cover each other to ensure proper water circulation. Cutlery and small items go in the cutlery basket, and light items in the upper basket.
- Detergent: Detergent (powder or tablets) is added to a dedicated compartment. For programmes with a prewash phase, a small quantity of detergent can be placed on the inner part of the appliance door.
- Salt: The salt container needs to be filled with dishwasher salt, especially in areas with hard water, to recharge the water softener resin.
- Rinse Aid: The rinse aid dispenser needs refilling when the indicator is on, to ensure streak-free drying.
Maintenance Features
Regular maintenance is crucial for optimal performance and longevity of the dishwasher.
- Filters: The filter system consists of three parts (flat filter, main filter, and microfilter) that need to be regularly cleaned to prevent poor washing results. They are easily removable for washing.
- Spray Arms: The upper and lower spray arms should be checked and cleaned regularly to prevent clogging of the holes, which can lead to unsatisfactory washing results.
- Salt Container: The salt container should be refilled when the salt indicator is on. After refilling, a programme should be started immediately to prevent corrosion.
- Rinse Aid Dispenser: The rinse aid dispenser should be refilled when the rinse aid indicator is on. The released quantity can be adjusted in the basic settings.
- Machine Care Programme: This programme is designed for internal cleaning, removing limescale and grease buildup. It should be run with a descaler or cleaning product specifically for dishwashers.
- Internal Cleaning: The appliance interior, including the rubber gasket of the door, should be cleaned with a soft damp cloth. Specific cleaning products for dishwashers are recommended every two months.
- External Cleaning: The appliance exterior should be cleaned with a moist soft cloth and neutral detergents.
- Troubleshooting: The manual provides a detailed troubleshooting guide for common problems, including issues with activation, programme start, water filling/draining, anti-flood device, programme duration, and washing/drying results. It also lists alarm codes and their possible solutions.
- Safety: Before any maintenance, the appliance must be deactivated, and the mains plug disconnected. Children should not carry out cleaning or user maintenance without supervision.
