The Airmaster HC2TIM is a 2kW convector heater with a timer, designed for domestic and commercial applications. It features a white body with a black handle and sturdy plastic feet, offering a slim, compact, and light design for easy placement and operation.
The HC2TIM convector heater provides three heat settings: 750W, 1250W, and 2000W, allowing users to select the desired heat output for their space. It incorporates a variable thermostat control to maintain a comfortable room temperature by automatically switching the heating elements on and off. A key feature is the integrated 24-hour timer, which has 96 segments, each equivalent to 15 minutes. This allows users to preset specific operating times and durations for the heater over a 24-hour period. The timer has a 3-position slide switch: one position for timer control, one for continuous operation (controlled by the thermostat and heater switches), and an off position. The heater is also equipped with safety features such as overheating protection and a thermal safety trip, which automatically switches the unit off if it gets too hot. A tip-over sensor is also included, ensuring the heater switches off if accidentally knocked over.
Before use, ensure the feet are correctly attached to the base of the heater using the 4 self-tapping screws provided. The heater should be placed on a firm, level surface, away from curtains, furniture, or areas where flammable liquids or fumes may be present. It is for indoor use only and should not be used in the immediate surroundings of a bath, shower, or swimming pool.
To operate, insert the plug into a suitable earthed socket. Turn the thermostat knob fully clockwise to the maximum setting. The heating elements are activated by rocker switches on the side panel, which illuminate when on. For maximum heat output, both switches should be on. Once the desired room temperature is reached, slowly turn the thermostat knob anti-clockwise until a click is heard and the lights on the element switches go out. The heater will then maintain the set temperature by cycling on and off automatically.
The 24-hour timer allows for scheduled operation. To set the timer, ensure the slide switch in the center of the timer is in the clock position (indicated by a clock symbol). Rotate the outer ring of the timer clockwise until the current time aligns with the arrow pointer (e.g., 8 pm corresponds to number 20). To program operating periods, pull the segments around the outer ring forward for the required running times. The heater will then operate daily during these programmed periods, provided it is plugged in, the element switches are on, and the thermostat is set appropriately. For continuous operation, set the timer slide switch to the "I" position. If reverting to timer operation, set the slide switch back to the clock position. When using the timer, be mindful that the heater may come on unattended.
Always unplug the heater from the wall socket and allow it to cool down before cleaning. Clean the outside of the heater by wiping it with a damp cloth and buffing with a dry cloth. Do not use any detergents or abrasives, and prevent water from entering the heater. When not in use for extended periods, the heater should be protected from dust and stored in a clean, dry place.
In case of overheating, an additional fitted safety thermostat will automatically switch the heater off. The service lamp will go out, and the heater will be ready for service again after a short cooling-off phase (approximately 15 minutes). If this occurs repeatedly, check the thermostat setting and ensure no objects are hindering the heating operation.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons to avoid a hazard.
