  • Cassette Playback: Features a Cassette Holder, Reverse Mode Switch (for single or continuous auto-reverse), PLAY Button, and Stop/EJECT Button. It supports NORMAL/METAL-CrO2 tape types and includes a DOLBY NR/FM MODE Switch for noise reduction during playback.
  • Radio Reception: Equipped with a Step Selector Switch (AM STEP) to switch between 9/10 kHz and 50/200 kHz step frequencies, accommodating various countries. It has a Band Selector Switch (FM, AM) and TUNING/TIME SET Button for station selection. Up to five AM and five FM stations (total of 10) can be preset using the Station Preset Key (PRESET/CLOCK) 1-5 and STORE/SET Button.
  • Recording: Allows recording from radio or an external microphone (via the MIC jack). Recording is primarily made on the front side of the tape, with FWD displayed. • Dubbing: Allows dubbing from this player to another cassette recorder by connecting them.

Maintenance Features:

  • Battery Care: When not in use for extended periods, batteries should be removed to prevent damage from leakage and ensure optimal battery life. Different types or old and new batteries should not be mixed.
  • Head Cleaning: The heads and tape path should be cleaned 2-3 times per month with a cotton swab moistened with cleaning fluid or denatured alcohol to maintain sound quality.
  • Tape Slack: Slack tape can be wound up with a pencil or similar tool to prevent jamming or breakage.
  • C-120 Tapes: The use of C-120 tapes is not recommended due to their thinness and susceptibility to damage.
  • Environmental Precautions:
    • Avoid direct sunlight, leaving in a closed car in summer, or near heaters (A-1, A-2).
    • Avoid high humidity areas like bathrooms.
    • Avoid extremely cold places or prolonged exposure to outside air.
    • Avoid dusty places, as this can impair performance.
  • Headphone Use: Ensure headphones are worn correctly (L on left, R on right) and avoid excessively high volume to prevent hearing damage. For safety, do not wear headphones while cycling or driving a motor vehicle.
  • Power Off: After listening to the radio, turn off the power using the Function Switch to POWER OFF.
  • AC Adaptor: When not using the unit for a long time, unplug the AC adaptor. For battery operation, the AC adaptor must be disconnected.
