@ Turn off all components before connecting
@ If your unit has a voltage converter, refer to page 1 for
the proper directions and power requirements.
Om Antenna jack
Connect the standard accessory T-shaped FM an-
tenna to the FM (752) jack on the rear panel of the
stereo system, then tack the antenna up on a wall.
@ The standard accessory T-shaped FM antenna is
a simple type. If you want to receive FM broad-
casts more clearly, we recommend a higher
grade FM antenna (eg. a multi-element type) for
FM reception.
AM LOOP ANTENNA
Insert the standard accessory AM loop antenna to
the AM LOOP and Ground terminals by pulling
down the tabs, as shown in the illustration.
Detach the AM loop antenna and place it where
best reception can be obtained.
@ Prono jacks
Connect the output plugs of the Akai Turntable Left
and Right to the audio video receiver's PHONO jacks
Left and Right.
Connect the Turntable’s ground wire securely to the
audio video receiver's ground ( tir.) terminal to pre-
vent noise and distortion.
@ Attention: Never connect a CD player to the
PHONO jacks under any circumstances.
4) CD jacks
Connect the Akai CD's output plugs Left and Right
to the audio video receiver's CD jacks Left and Right.
@ 4c OUTLETS (Not on some models)
MAIN POWER ON/OFF swtich
To completely turn on and off the power Akai audio
video receiver.

@B SPEAKER Terminals
SURROUND SPEAKERS Terminals
Insert the (optional) AE-S90 Surround Speaker input
plugs into the Left and Right SURROUND SPEAKER
terminals.
Note
Do not connect an amplifier or other speaker
system to these terminals.
TAPE 1/2 jacks
Connect the TAPE REC jacks to the Acai Cassette
deck’s LINE IN jacks Left and Right. ;
Connect the TAPE PLAY jacks to the Akai cassette
deck's LINE OUT jacks Left and Right.
AM STEP Switch (Only on medels with
convertible voltage)
Use this switch to set the frequency scimning steps
for your area, either 9kHz or 10kHz.
(10kHz for North and South America, 9)Hz for other
areas)
After changing the position of this selector, press
the RESET (PUSH) button.
CONTROL TERMINAL (CASSETTE
DECK)
Connect the Akai cassette deck’s REMOTE jack
with the optional remote control cable.
Attention
Do not connect a component other than an Akal
cassette deck to this terminal
