Before
connecting
the
power
cord,
set
the
VOLTAGE
SELECTOR
located
on
the
rear
panel
of
the
AX-890
so
that
the
correct
voltage
for
your
area
is
indicated.

ABOUT
THE
POWER
SUPPLY
The
power
supply
of
the
TC-590,890
and
EA-890
are
supplied
from
the
AX-890.
Transmission
of
the
system
control
signal
between
the
TC-
590/890.
and
other
components
(AX-890,
EA-890)
is
absolutely
necessary
to
control
the
system.
Therefore,
when
repairing
one
of
the
components
of
this
MIDI
STEREO
COMPONENT
SYSTEM,
all
components
should
normally
be
connected
together.
If
all
components
are
not
available
when
repairing,
the
minimum
combination
of
components
that
will
be
necessary
for
repair
is
as
follows.
AX-890
The
transmission
of
the
system
control
signal
between
the
TC-590/890,
EA-890
and
AX-890
is
absolutely
necessary
to
control
the
system
in
normal
use.
Also
an
audio
signal
selected
in
the
AX-890
will
be
output
to
the
EA-890
then
return
to
AX-890.
If
the
TC-590/890
and
EA-890
are
not
available
when
repairing
the
AX-890,
proceed
as
follows.
To
turn
the
power
on:
Press
the
power
switch
more
than
5
seconds
after
the
AC
power
cord
is
connected
to
the
AC
outlet.
Although
the
“INPUT
SELECTOR”
has
no
indication,
it
is
‘possible
to
change
the
input
source
with
the
“INPUT
SELECTOR?”
button.
Pressing
the
“INPUT
SELECTOR”
button
repeatedly
will
change
the
input
source
in
the
following
order:
CD
+
FM
TAPE-l
+
TAPE-II
--
PHONO
LINE.
Repeated
pressing
of
the
button
repeats
this
cycle.
However
if
the
EA-890
is
not
connected
to
the
AX-890,
no
sound
is
heard
from
the
speakers
or
headphones.
Therefore
if
the
EA-890
is
not
available,
short
the
1
pin
and
2
pin
(for
R-ch),
4
pin
and
5
pin
(for
L-ch)
of
the
“CONTROL
B”
connector
on
the
rear
panel
of
the
AX-890
respectively.
TC-590,890
Power
for
the
TC-590
or
TC-890
is
supplied
from
the
AX-
890.
Also,
transmission
of
the
system
control
signal
between
the
TC-590/890
and
AX-890
is
necessary
to
control
the
system.
Therefore,
when
repairing
the
TC-590
or
TC890,
repair
should
be
made
together
with
the
AX-890.
EA-890
Power
for
the
EA-890
is
supplied
from
the
AX-890.
Also,
transmission
of
the
system
control
signal
between
the
EA-890
and
AX-890
is
necessary
to
control
the
system.
Therefore,
when
repairing
the
EA-890,
repair
should
be
made
together
with
the
AX-890.
