To display the diagnostics
1. With My IC Plugin for Outlook
®
running, click on the information icon
This is a small icon at bottom right corner of the My IC Plugin for Outlook
®
Panel
2. Click on “Diagnostics”
3. You can click on Export to produce a file that can be renamed and saved on your disk.
The file contains diagnostic information that can be provided to the Technical Support.
4.18.1.7.3 Log files
These files can be used for deep investigations by ALE International technical experts.
• The logs in Windows Vista & Windows 7 are written to:
C:\Users\<user>\Application Data\Local\Alcatel Lucent\Social Networks
\log.fdb
4.18.1.7.4 Communication Add-ins
Add-ins are third party tools that integrate seamlessly with Outlook. To find the add-ins:
• Outlook 2010 & Outlook 2013:
File >Options >Add-Ins > Manage Comm Add-ins and click Go
• Outlook 2007:
Tools > Trust Centre > Add-Ins > Manage Comm Add-ins and Click Go
• Outlook 2003:
Tools > Options >Other >Advanced Options > COM Add-In
How to use the information:
• If My IC Plugin for Outlook
®
is registered with Outlook. It will appear in this list.
• If My IC Plugin for Outlook
®
is successfully loaded then it will be checked and the load behavior
label will say loaded at start up
• If My IC Plugin for Outlook
®
does not successfully load, the tick box will be unchecked and an error
message is displayed against the load behavior label.
4.18.1.7.5 Dialing Rules
My IC Plugin for Outlook
®
uses the Phone/Modem Dialling Rules of the PC for it's own dialling rule.
Changes to the Phone/Modem Dialling Rules will result in changes to the displayed numbers within My
IC Plugin for Outlook
®
.
The number displayed next to the My IC Plugin for Outlook
®
contact, is the actual number My IC Plugin
for Outlook
®
will dial.
The number displayed by the "Hint" when hovered over the number, is the original number obtained
from the imported directory.
4.18.1.7.6 Phone and Modem Options
My IC Plugin for Outlook
®
uses the Windows "Phone and Modem" rules in order to make calls. These
settings can be found in:
Control Panel > Phone and Modem Options
