Mulch and Mowing
WARNING:
Ensure the motor is NOT operating when undertaking this task.
1. Remove the 60L hard catcher (14) by lifting the rear discharge guard and
releasing the 60L hard catcher (14) from the tabs holding it in position. (Fig O)
2. With the rear discharge guard (16) raised, insert the mulching block (39)
into position, and then release / close the rear discharge guard (16). (Fig P)
3. Ensure the side ejector cover (21) is in the closed position (Fig Q). Do NOT
use the side discharge chute (20) when mulch and mowing.
Adding and Checking the oil
IMPORTANT: The motor of this lawn mower is packed with NO OIL in the motor.
Prior to starting the motor, Oil MUST be added to the sump of the motor.
Failuretoaddsucientoilwillresultindamagetothemotorwhichis
NOT covered under the warranty of the lawn mower.
On a new lawn mower, the motor needs to be filled with 600ml of SAE 10W/30
engine oil, or oil as detailed in the chart below for various conditions.
Each time the lawn mower is used, the oil level should be checked and if low,
addsucientoiltoensuretheoillevelistothefullmarkonthedipstick.
1. Position the lawn mower on a flat and level
surface. Clean the area directly around the oil
filler cap (24).
2. Remove the oil filler cap / dipstick (24) by
turning approximately half a turn in an anti
clockwise direction and lift the cap outwards.
Clean the oil dipstick (24) with a clean cloth,
cleaning away any visual oil.
3. FOR A NEW LAWN MOWER, add 600ml of SAE
10W/30 engine or oil from the oil chart below
for specific conditions. (Fig R)
