For starting, ensure the mower is set to the height setting so the blades are
not resting deep into the grass.
NOTE: The engine of this lawn mower is a Briggs and Stratton, Readystart®,
Model 675E. It features a temperature controlled automatic choke. It does
not have a manual choke or a primer.
NOTE: When starting the engine, and using the motor throttle control (5)
when standing behind the mower, motor throttle control (5) is on the right
hand side.
1. Move the motor throttle
control (5) to the “START “
position. (Fig W)
2. Firmly hold the recoil starter
(23) & pull slowly until
resistance is felt, then pull
rapidly. (Fig X)
3. Once the lawn mower has
started and warmed up
(approximately 20-30 seconds)

the “RUN” position to increase
the engine speed. (Fig Y)
