If your Alienware Laptop battery is swollen due to age, charge cycles, or heat exposure, stop using the laptop. Disconnect the AC adapter and allow the battery to fully drain. It is recommended to replace swollen batteries. Replace the battery only with a compatible battery purchased from Dell that is designed to work with your Dell computer. Swollen batteries covered under warranty should be returned to Dell in approved containers, while those not covered should be disposed of at an approved recycling center.
