The
3339
is
made
up
of
two
components:
the
Control
Unit
and
the
Base
Unit.
As
with
all
installations
you
should
begin
by
determining
the
mounting
locations
for
the
components
of
the
system.
CONTROL
UNIT
The
Control
Unit
can
be
custom
mounted
flush
in
the
dashboard,
center
console,
sun
visor,
or
other
flat
surface
in
the
vehicle.
The
compact
size
of
the
Control
Unit
allows
it
to
be
stored
in
the
glove
box
or
center
console
storage
area.
There
is
also
an
optional
4932
in-dash
mounting
kit.
This
allows
the
Control
Unit
to
be
mounted
in
a
DIN
opening.
Using
this
kit,
the
Control
Unit
can
be
easily
removed
and
taken
with
the
owner
for
theft
prevention.

Velcro™
(Double-Sided
Adhesive)
Tape
Mounting
(Fig.
3)
The
Control
Unit
can
be
mounted
to
any
flat
spot
using
the
Velcro™
tape.
Choose
a
location
which
allows
easy
access
to
operate
the
Control
Unit.
Remove
the
adhesive
protective
paper
from
one
side
of
the
Velcro
tape.
Attach
the
exposed
adhesive
side
to
the
rear
side
of
the
Control
Unit,
in
a
central
location.
Select
a
secure
and
flat
spot
for
mounting.
Make
sure
the
mounting
location
is
clean,
dry
and
free
from
contaminants.
Remove
the
protective
paper
from
the
other
side
of
the
Velcro
tape.
Press
the
Control
Unit
to
its
mounting
location.
Connect
the
DIN
connector
of
the
Control
Unit
to
the
Base
Unit.
Using
the
Alpine
4932
Kit
(option)
(Fig.
4)
The
4932
has
a
releasing
button
for
easy
mounting
and
removal
of
the
Control
Unit
as
an
anti-theft
measure.
Remove
the
Control-Bus
Connector
from
the
Control
Unit
by
unscrewing
one
machine
screw
as
the
4932
already
has
the
Control-Bus
Connector.
Mount
the
Bracket
Support
on
the
Mounting
Sleeve.
Insert
the
Mounting
Sleeve
into
dashboard.
Connect
the
DIN
connector
to
the
Base
Unit.
Insert
the
4932
into
the
Mounting
Sleeve.
Mount
the
Control
Unit
to
the
4932.
