Overview

The Alpine PXE-0850X is a 12-channel high-quality audio processor designed to enhance in-car audio systems. It offers a comprehensive suite of tuning and control features, accessible via both a mobile phone application and computer software, as well as a dedicated wire controller.

Function Description

The PXE-0850X serves as a central hub for audio processing, allowing users to fine-tune various aspects of their car's sound system. It supports multiple input sources, including high-definition Bluetooth, optical fiber, coaxial, and RCA audio inputs, making it compatible with a wide range of on-board CD/DVD players, navigation systems, and external devices. The processor features 8 channels of high-level output and 12 channels of RCA audio output, enabling connection to multiple loudspeakers and external power amplifiers.

Key functions include:

  • Sound Source Selection: Users can choose between main and auxiliary sound sources, including digital, high-level, Bluetooth, and low-level inputs. The auxiliary sound source can be mixed with the main source, with adjustable attenuation.
  • Master Volume Control: The master volume can be adjusted from 0 to 35, with a default of 27. A mute function is also available.
  • Sound Effect Setting: The device has storage for six groups of preset sound effects, which can be saved or recalled.
  • Delay Interface: This feature allows for precise adjustment of sound delays for front, rear, and overall sound fields, or no delay. Delay units can be set in milliseconds (0.000-20.000ms), centimeters (0-692cm), or inches (0-273 inches).
  • Channel Interface: Provides control over individual output channels, including type selection (e.g., front-end high frequency, rear-end low frequency, ultralow frequency), volume adjustment (-60dB to 6dB), mute, phase position (positive/reverse), joint debugging (copy EQ settings), and lock/reset functions.
  • Frequency Divider Setting: Each output channel is equipped with a multi-stage high-low pass independent filter. Users can select filter types (Linkwitz, Butterworth, Bessel), set frequency-dividing points (20Hz-20kHz), and adjust slopes (6dB/Oct-48dB/Oct).
  • EQ Interface: Offers both graphic and parametric equalization. The graphic EQ has 31 adjustable sections, with fixed frequency and Q values, and adjustable gain. The parametric EQ allows for adjustment of frequency (20Hz-20kHz), Q value (0.404-28.852), and gain (-12.0dB to +12.0dB). EQ settings can be enabled/disabled, restored to previous states, or reset to initial factory settings.
  • Frequency Combination Interface: This interface allows for audio mixing and frequency mixing by adjusting the volume of each sound source in the channel.
