CD Shuttle Operation
Controlling CD Shuttle
(Optional)
An optional Alpine CD Shuttle may be
connected to the 3DA-7987 if it is Ai-NET
compatible. Once connected to the Ai-NET
input of the 3DA-7987, the CD Shuttle will be
controllable from the head unit. Using the KCA-
400C (the Multi-Changer Switching device)
multiple changers can be controlled by the
3DA-7987.
See the Multi-Changer Selection section on
page 72 for selecting the CD Shuttles.
Note: The controls on the 3DA-7987 for CD
Shuttle operation are operative only
when a CD Shuttle is connected.
The display example shows when playing Track
5 on Disc 3.
Press the SOURCE button to activate the CD
Shuttle. The display shows the disc number and
track number.
Make sure that the Function indicator is
illuminated. Press a Preset button
corresponding to one of the discs loaded in the
CD Shuttle magazine.
Note: When using Alpine's 12 Disc Changer,
press the TUNE button to access discs 7
– 12. The Disc indicator in the display will
change from "D" to "d" to show the
change in CD range. Pressing the
Presets 1 – 6 will now correspond to
discs 7 – 12 respectively. The indicator
will return to "D" after about 5 seconds if
no other Preset is pressed.
